If you’re a regular reader of this blog you’ve probably noticed that I love food. That’s why I enjoy taking food tours and why you always see me eating on Instagram.
Since I like eating food, it probably wouldn’t surprise you to know I also like cooking food. I’m not saying I’m an amazing cook but I like finding new dishes to try at home. That’s why I’ve taken a few cooking classes during my travels.
You are watching: Dining at Hell’s Kitchen in Las Vegas
With a love of cooking and eating I do tend to watch a lot of cooking shows when I’m at home. Shows like Masterchef, The Great British Bake Off, Chef’s Table, Come Dine With Me amongst others are often on the TV in my flat.
One of my favourite cooking shows is Hell’s Kitchen. I could say I like learning new things from the show but if I’m honest, I mostly like watching the contestants squirm to please chef Ramsey.
What Is Hell’s Kitchen?
If you’ve never seen the show, Hell’s Kitchen is a popular cooking show hosted by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. While the show first aired in the UK, that only lasted a few seasons. However, the US version is still going on and is hugely popular in both the US and the UK, as well as many other countries.
The idea of the show is that 20 individuals work in two teams with someone getting eliminated every week until there is one winner. This winner then goes on to win a cash sum and a job at a prestigious restaurant.
Contestants are split into the Red Team and Blue Team and compete in challenges. The winning team is rewarded with incredible prizes such as expensive shopping trips, appearances on TV and magazines as well as incredible, once in a lifetime recreational experiences. While the losers must carry out a hellish punishment.
Then at the dinner service the teams compete against each other while each cooking for half the restaurant. At the end of service Gordon Ramsay declares a losing team and someone from that team will get eliminated.
About Hell’s Kitchen Restaurant in Las Vegas

Hell’s Kitchen is a restaurant based on the hit reality show of the same name. The Las Vegas Hell’s Kitchen was actually the first Hell’s Kitchen restaurant that Gordon Ramsay opened.
If you love the show then you are going to love the restaurant. It’s set up to look like the show with a blue and red kitchen cooking your meals. Sadly you won’t be treated to the entertainment you get on the show with the chefs being shouted at. However, what you will get is an incredible meal. Considering on the show diners can wait hours for their meal I was happy to sacrifice the screaming for a speedy service!
Not only do you feel like you’re on the set of the TV show, the restaurant has floor to ceiling windows with a fantastic view of the Las Vegas Strip. The restaurant is sleek and elegant and serves up a modern menu which of course includes Ramsay’s most famous signature dishes.
As well as the restaurant, there is also a contemporary bar serving up the latest trends in mixology.
Finding Hell’s Kitchen in Las Vegas
With a convenient spot right on the Las Vegas strip, Hell’s Kitchen restaurant is easy to find. The restaurant is located just outside Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. With the iconic ‘HK’ symbol outside the front door, you can’t miss the Hells Kitchen restaurant.
Do You Need To Book Hell’s Kitchen?
Hell’s Kitchen in Las Vegas gets booked up quickly so the safest way to guarantee a table during your trip is to pre-book it in advance. Reservations can easily be made online but can’t be made more than 6 months in the future.
This trip to Vegas was a family trip with my mum and step dad. Both me and step dad were keen to dine at Hell’s Kitchen but our trip was booked more than 6 months in advance. Not wanting to miss out, we worked out the date we would be able to make a reservation and set alarms and reminders so we would definitely be able to get a table.
The Meal
After watching Gordon Ramsay cooking shows for years I was so excited to finally be trying his food. Ok, so it might not have been cooked by the man himself but each dish is his creation. Recipes he’s worked on and perfected for years.
Because I have watched Hell’s Kitchen so much I have heard about Ramsay’s signature beef wellington so many times. As soon as I saw this on the menu I knew I had to order it. I had been dying to try it for years and now finally was my chance.

When my beef wellington was placed in front of me I knew I had made the right decision. The aroma had my mouth begging for a taste. With that first bite I could see why the dish was talked about so much. The beef was tender, it just melted in your mouth. The beef is served medium rare and wrapped in a deliciously flaky golden brown puff pastry. In between the beef and pastry was a layer of mushrooms that had been sauteed with onion and garlic that went so well with the beef.
The serving size is a decent slice of the wellington about an inch thick that is enough to satisfy your stomach but the dish is so delicious I feel like I could have happily devoured the whole wellington if given the chance. The wellington is also accompanied by soft and delicious potato puree, glazed root vegetables and a red wine demi glaze. Everything on that plate was pure perfection.
One thing you may not know about me is that I’m not a huge meat eater. I don’t mind meat but I don’t love it, so most of the time I will order vegetarian or vegan dishes. But this beef wellington was so good I actually uttered the phrase “if meat always tasted this good, I’d eat it all the time”. That’s probably the best compliment I could give a dish!
Is Hell’s Kitchen Expensive?
I won’t lie to you here. Hell’s Kitchen is not one of the cheapest restaurants in Las Vegas. However, it is one of the best restaurants in Las Vegas. Considering the experience you’ll have and the quality of the food you’ll eat, I would definitely say it is worth it.
The thing to remember is that this is a restaurant by a celebrity chef with a reputation for creating stunning dishes. The food was incredible and I’m already planning to return the next time I’m in Vegas.
Of course, there are ways to dine at Hell’s Kitchen without breaking the bank. Firstly, steer clear of those cocktails as they will quickly double your bill. Secondly, think about how much you are willing to pay before splurging on a three course meal. If you want to reduce the cost, just have entrees and skip the dessert. Avoiding the steak products will also help keep the bill down.
