This easy and refreshing apple cider vinegar detox drink is packed with health boosting properties including weight-loss, digestion, and anti-inflammation.
I grew up watching my Grandmother drink warm water with lemon every morning. She swore by it for overall health and wellness. So last year, when I started reading about the health benefits of drinking warm lemon water mixed with apple cider vinegar and turmeric, I was eager to try it!
I’ve been drinking this delicious detox drink on and off for the last year.
And every time I drink it consistently, I feel so much better.
I feel lighter, more energized, and just overall healthier.
It’s best to drink it first thing in the morning to really get your system going.
Then after that I like to drink it before lunch. It helps curb my hunger, helps digestion, and gives me an extra boost of energy.
Health Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar Detox Drink
- Apple cider vinegar is made from fermented apples. Be sure to buy the organic, unfiltered kind. The label will say “Contains the mother” which are the proteins, enzymes, and good bacteria that help your body.
- Apple Cider Vinegar is known to help satiate hunger, help folks lose weight, and help control belly fat.
It reduces the amount of time that fats are in the digestive track, so your body metabolizes the fats quicker!

And because Apple Cider Vinegar has all those “good bacteria” they help the other good bacteria in your gut thrive.

- You can incorporate it into any diet plan. It’s also super helpful to take after a diet cheat day to help you get back on track.

How much Apple Cider Vinegar should I take?
Start with 1 teaspoon and build up to 1 tablespoon per time. I take 1 tablespoon.
Dr Oz and Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)
Dr. Oz also encourages the consumption of apple cider vinegar as part of his new System 20 weight-loss program. He recommends using it as a salad dressing for your protein bowls.
(To do this, you would want to mix 1 part ACV with 2 parts olive oil.)

How to make Apple Cider Vinegar Detox Drink

Ingredients:
- 8 oz warm water
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 T lemon juice (about 1 section)
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Steps:
Warm your water in the microwave for 30-60 seconds, depending on your preference.
Then add in the Apple Cider Vinegar, turmeric, and cayenne pepper. Finally, squeeze in 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon. Mix well, and enjoy!

I like to cut my lemon into sections and save it in a container so it’s ready when I need it. Each section is roughly 1 Tablespoon. I’ve been doing it so long, I just eyeball it now.
Drink Mindfully
While you’re sipping, it’s a good idea to just relax and get centered for the day. I like to sit at my kitchen table and watch the sunrise out my window. Find a peaceful spot, breathe in and welcome the beauty of a new day.
