The Pride of the Valley update added several new recipes to Disney Dreamlight Valley on top of the mammoth amount already in the game. How to unlock the Marvelous Jam recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You unlock the recipe to make Marvelous Jam as soon as you’ve installed the Pride of the Valley update, but that doesn’t mean you can do it immediately. As the recipe requires Dreamlight Fruit, you’ll have to put some work in to get your hands on one.

Once he’s in your Valley, it’s time to gather up a huge pile of gifts because you must get his Friendship Level up to 7, at which point he’ll give you the Seed of Memories quest.
How to increase Simba’s Friendship Level in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Giving gifts is the best way to increase Simba’s Friendship Level in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Flowers arguably make the best presents because they are free and increase the Friendship Level meter faster than many other items. So make sure that you always keep a hoard of flowers handy!
You can also increase Simba’s Friendship Level by assigning him a role such as mining or fishing and then doing that activity. For example, if you make him assist you when foraging, he’ll gain Friendship EXP whenever you pick a plant.
Where to get Dreamlight Fruit in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To obtain Dreamlight Fruit, you must unlock the feature by finishing Simba’s Friendship Level 7 quest, Seed of Memories. Once you do, you can harvest three Dreamlight Fruit per day, which you can use to make Marvelous Jam and other recipes that require one.

How to complete the Seed of Memories quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Here’s what you need to do to complete the Seed of Memories quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley:
- Speak to Scar.
- Head to the Vitalys Mines near Sunlit Plateau to find the Dreamlight Seeds.
- Once inside, head to the right until you see a large wall of round rocks. Interact with it.
- Enter the room that appears.
- Pick up the items in the room.
- Leave the mines and speak to Merlin.
- Craft a Potion of Dust and a Potion of Growth at a crafting bench.
- Potion of Dust—x3 Night Shard, x3 Orange Marsh Milkweed, and an Empty Vial
- Potion of Growth—x3 Dream Shard, x6 Blueberry, and an Empty Vial
- Return to the room by the rocks in the Vitalys Mines.
- Place the Potion of Growth and the Potion of Dust on the table here.
- Pick up the Dreamlight Tree Seed.
- Return to Simba, who will take you to the pond in the Sunlit Plateau.
- Plant the Dreamlight Seed, then water it with your Royal Watering Can. It’ll take three days to grow.

Where to get Wheat in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Wheat is another ingredient required to make Marvelous Jam in Disney Dreamlight Valley, which you can buy from Goofy’s Stall in Peaceful Meadow. He also sells seeds here if you’d rather plant and grow them yourself.
With the Wheat and Dreamlight Fruit in hand, go to a Stove and throw them both into the cooking pot to cook the Marvelous Jam recipe.
