In our Ratatouille Important Night at the Restaurant Disney Dreamlight Valley walkthrough, we are going to take you through the whole quest, step by step. There are several spots in this mission where you can easily trip up. So, in this detailed guide, we are going to show you how to improve the Pizza Margherita or Vegetable Casserole using herbs or spices, how to prepare and serve ratatouille for the food critic, and more. Incidentally, you get this quest from the Visit Shy Robot, Little Chef or Demigod choice. With that said, let’s begin.

Important Night at the Restaurant Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley Ratatouille Important Night at the Restaurant

The first step of the Important Night at the Restaurant quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, called Explore the Ratatouille Realm, happens after you complete the Dream Castle quest with Merlin. All you have to do is go through the only available door in the castle, the one that has Remy on it. After you do that and get teleported to the restaurant, talk to Remy to begin the next step.

Walk through the Ratatouille door.

You will the have to use your watering can to wash Dirty Dish (sic). The dishes are in three separate baskets on the floor. The first basket is right across from Remy, aka behind you. The second is in the far right corner when facing the first basket, and the third is in the far end of the kitchen on your right, below some pots and pans hanging on the wall. It’s near the shelves with big round breads on them.

The third step of the Disney Dreamlight Valley Important Night at the Restaurant quest is to find a Fish in Remy’s Kitchen and prepare any meal using it. You can pick up a Rainbow Trout from the shelf we’ve shown in the screenshot below. Then, just interact with the pot simmering on the stove and dunk the fish in.

Next, you have to find a Fruit in Remy’s Kitchen and prepare any meal using it. Follow the same steps as with the fish thing. You can pick up bananas from the same shelf you got the trout from. We put in three bananas, for reference.

In the following step, you’ll need to prepare a Hearty Salad or Pepper Puffs using ingredients from Remy’s kitchen. When you choose one of the two, Remy will tell you what the ingredients are, so just repeat the process from the previous steps. If you forget the ingredients, talk to Remy again.

Your next choice will be between cooking a Pizza Margherita or a Vegetable Casserole. We went with the casserole, but either way, you’ll first have to find the cookbook in Remy’s kitchen. We’ll show you where it is in the screenshot below.

Improve the Pizza Margherita / Vegetable Casserole

In order to improve the Pizza Margherita or Vegetable Casserole in Important Night at the Restaurant in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you have to use some kind of herb or spice to add to the basic recipe. If you highlight the cookbook in your inventory, it will show you the basic ingredients. We went for the casserole, so we needed any two veggies and cheese. On top of that, just through in some oregano or basil, and you’re good to go. We found everything on the shelves shown below.

With that out of the way, time for the dessert: you’ll need to prepare a Banana Pie or Apple Pie. He’ll tell you to use “any good butter” which might trip you up. He just means the big cube of butter in the corner of the kitchen where the oregano and basil are. The other ingredients are wheat and either an apple or a banana, depending on what you’ve chosen.

The following task is to cook one Ranch Salad and place it on the Serving Hatch. It requires lettuce, tomatoes, corn, bell peppers and onions. That’s the easy part. The only potential problem is finding said Serving Hatch. It’s immediately to the left of the door.

Prepare and Serve Ratatouille to the Food Critic in Important Night at the Restaurant

The last step of the Disney Dreamlight Valley Important Night at the Restaurant quest is to, of course, prepare and serve an order of ratatouille to the food critic. Remy tells you that the ingredients are tomatoes, three cooked vegetables, and a spice. The combo that worked for us was tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, onions and basil. Once you’ve prepared the ratatouille, take it to the service hatch. From here, you have to exit the kitchen through the door, then go outside of the castle and place Remy’s house in the village. You can figure it out from here on your own. Just know that you can always go to Remy’s house and cook some more, if you feel like it.
