Tired of the strong, chemical odors of bathroom cleaners? Want something green and clean (and cheap) to clean the tile, shower, toilet and sinks? Check out some of these awesome homemade bathroom cleaners!

Tub and Tile: Normal tub and tile cleaners will run your about $6 to $12 dollars. Save money with this awesome, homemade version! Grab a jar and fill it up with:

    • 1 ½ baking soda
    • ½ cup of warm water
    • ½ cup of liquid soap (you can use powdered or flaked too, just add more water)
    • 2 tablespoons of white distilled vinegar, or apple cider vinegar

Shake it up really well, before using and scrubbing the tub. You can even add a little lemon juice or lemon pieces to add a little more acidity to the mixture, which will help to eat away grime with less scrubbing, and leave a fresh lemon scent! Note: this can be stored in a jar, NOT a spray bottle.

Best Grout Cleaner Ever: Grout whiteners and cleaners can smell awful. Make your own and save yourself the headache! All you’ll need is:

    • 1 part white distilled vinegar, heated over the stove until hot
    • 1 part Dawn dish soap

Blend the hot vinegar and the Dawn in a bucket, spray bottle, or right in the tub and scrub away at the mold or shower scum that is growing in the grout of your tiled shower or bathroom floor. They’ll glow like new!

Toilet Cleaner: This is so easy, you won’t even need to scrub! You’ll need:

    • 1 can of Cola or other brown soda pop
    • 1 cup of baking soda
    • 1 cup of white distilled vinegar

Dump the Cola right into the toilet and let it sit for about ten minutes, then flush. Add the vinegar and the baking soda to the toilet next, without stirring or scrubbing, until the mixture stops bubbling. If you have tough stains, you can give it a scrub, but you should just be able to flush, then walk away! The soda and the vinegar and baking soda mixture will also help to keep the pipes clear of build up!

Wall and basin cleaner: This is the most simple, easy recipe ever! All you need is:

    • 1 cup of hot water
    • ½ cup of Borax

Mix it together right in the sink and scrub! Borax and water is safe on porcelain, fixtures, wallpaper, painted wood, tile, grout, or even the plastic shower curtain. You can clean and disinfect everything in the bathroom with Borax, except the mirrors!

Mirror and Chrome fixture cleaner: Shine up the glass and metal in the bathroom with this super easy mix. You’ll need:

    • Non-lint towels or newspaper
    • 2 tablespoons of white distilled vinegar
    • 3 cups of warm water
    • Mix the vinegar and water in a spray bottle, then wipe the mirror down with the newspaper or the towel. Super simple!
