Usually, a layer of varnish will be applied to wooden doors, the reason for this is to protect your wood from moisture which may cause discoloration on the cupboards or even cracks. You need to be careful not to use any harsh products on the wood as this could damage it. Instead, opt for warm soapy water. Fill a bowl with warm water and a drop of washing liquid and use a soft cloth to wipe over the doors. Do not use a harsh or wired brush as this may scratch the wood. Another option instead of soap would be to use a specifically designed solution just for wooden surfaces. After using either the soap or solution, dry the wooden doors using a dry towel to avoid any marks or water stains.
