Resetting devices can solve almost any tech issue or glitch. It’s usually a quick and simple fix to get things up and running again. However, resetting Blink Cameras is more work than most other devices.
The Blink Indoor, Outdoor, XT, and XT2 cameras require a Sync Module. The Sync Module connects all your cameras to the internet.

If you’re having any issues with your Blink Cameras, it’s recommended to first power cycle your Blink system and router. This is so you don’t have to go back and reconnect all your devices.
If your camera or Sync Module is offline, we recommend trying to power cycle before resorting to a reset.
Power cycling doesn’t require you to reconfigure your system, and it’s an easy first step to try.
If your Blink camera system is offline, try power cycling your Internet modem. Here are the steps to do this:
If you have an app, you can also restart your network. I have the Google Nest WiFi, and at times, there is some congestion that causes some issues with the devices connected.
You can tell if the internet power cycle worked by checking the lights on the Sync Module. There should be one solid green and one solid blue light.
If this doesn’t fix the problem, power cycle the module:
Sometimes power cycling does not solve your problem. In that case, you will want to reset your Blink system by resetting the Sync Module.
To reset the Sync Module:
Resetting the Sync Module this way will put it in “set-up mode.” All connected cameras will go offline.

To use your cameras again, you must delete your Sync Module in the Blink app and reinstall it.

To reinstall your Sync Module:
If resetting the Sync Module doesn’t solve your camera issue, contact our TechSupportal or Blink customer service for additional support.
The Blink Mini does not have to be connected to a Sync Module to operate. If you have a Blink Mini that operates independently, you must reset the camera.
A Blink Mini can also get a power cycle or be restarted with the entire system from the Sync Module.
All Blink Cameras, Blink Doorbells, and Sync Modules have an easy way to reset them with a reset button. Here are where they are located:
Blink Floodlight Camera: Under the camera
Blink Video Doorbell: On top of the camera
Blink Outdoor Camera: In the battery compartment
Blink Indoor Camera: In the battery compartment
Blink XT and XT2: Inside on the top right of the product sticker

One reason to reset a Blink Camera and Sync Module is if you plan on selling or giving away your system. You don’t have to reset the cameras, however, some people might feel more secure that way.
If you’ve received a Blink Camera that is still attached to someone’s account, you will have to contact the original owner to get them to remove the device from their account.
Resetting your whole Blink Camera system can seem like a daunting task, especially when you have ten cameras set up in your system.
It isn’t too difficult to get everything up and running again, but if you don’t have to reset it in the first place, why should you?
You should reset a Blink Camera and Sync Module system if any basic troubleshooting steps don’t work, such as power cycling and restarting the individual camera.
Some issues that resetting a Blink Camera and Sync Module can solve are:
You cannot reboot or reset Blink Devices remotely. If your Blink Cameras need to be reset but you aren’t home, you will have to wait until you get home.
You can reset each individual Blink Camera if you have a whole system with the reset button on the camera. This is a quick refresh and won’t remove any of the camera’s settings.
However, when resetting Blink Cameras, if they are connected to a Sync Module, it is recommended to perform the factory reset.
