The most common reason your Blink camera fail to connect to Wi-Fi is weak signal strength.
Other possible reasons include entering the wrong Wi-Fi password during the camera’s activation process, using an outdated version of the Blink app, and linking the camera to a Sync Module that isn’t correctly connected.

First, I suggest power cycling both your Blink camera and Sync Module. Doing so will fix any temporary problems, and your devices’ connections will be refreshed.
To power cycle your Blink camera, follow the instructions below:
If power cycling the camera doesn’t help, power cycle the Sync Module. Here’s how to do that:
Make sure that all the lights on your Wi-Fi routers are blinking. Check the router connections if you observe any unusual patterns in the lights.
Restarting the router is a very effective method to eliminate connectivity problems as it refreshes all the Wi-Fi connections.
To restart your router, follow these steps:
Next, connect your Blink camera to verify if the problem is fixed.
If your router uses the 5GHz band, you might have trouble connecting your Blink camera to your home network.

Blink cameras and Sync Module only supports 2.4 GHz networks. So, if your Wi-Fi router is dual band, ensure that you connect to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
Alternatively, disabling the 5 GHz network entirely on your router might be beneficial, especially if your camera continuously tries to connect to the 5 GHz network.
Besides this, try to keep similar-frequency gadgets away from your Blink devices, so they don’t interact with one other to disrupt connectivity.
If your Sync Module is placed too far from the range of your router, you will experience connectivity and network problems.
As a rule of thumb, there should be at least a 3 bar Wi-Fi signal strength for the proper functioning of the Blink cameras.
Check Wi-Fi signal strenght on Blink Sync module, open Blink app on your phone. Tap on the Sync Module icon.
Now, you will see Wi-Fi indicator on top right corner. It should be blue.
If the Wi-Fi indicator is red or yellow, you will need to move your router close to the Sync Module. If it is not possible, try using a Wi-Fi extender or booster device.
Also, ensure your Sync Module is as close to your Blink camera as possible.
After ruling out potential issues with the router, camera, sync module, and router settings, the next thing to do is review VPN settings.
VPNs may prevent your Blink camera from connecting to your home network. This is because when using a VPN, your device is connected to a separate network, which is not your router’s local network.

So, before attempting to connect your camera again, disable any VPN or firewall enabled on your router or the phone you are using to configure the camera, and try again.
If none of the above works, the last resort is to factory reset your Sync Module or Blink Mini camera.
This will put it back in synchronization mode. In addition, it helps in clearing any wrong settings that can prevent the camera’s connection to the Wi-Fi.
Remember that resetting your Blink camera will clear all your settings and configuration, and you must set it up again.
To reset your Blink camera, you must reset the Blink Sync module and then re-connect your camera to it.
Press and hold the reset button on the Sync Module until the LED indicator blinks red.
On most Blink Sync Modules, you can find the reset button on the back, typically around the batteries.
If your Sync Module reset button is inside a small hole, press it using a paper clip.
After the reset, add the camera back to Sync Module and re-configure it.
For proper operation, your Blink camera must be connected to the internet through Sync Module. If it goes offline, it won’t be able to detect motion or save recordings to the cloud.
I hope the above steps will help you fix your Blink camera Wi-Fi problems. But, if you are still having issues, it’s best to contact Blink support for assistance.
