Video diy shave oil

This is a new recipe that I have been loving and I’m going to show you how to make DIY shaving & body oil oil. The products are easy to find, moisturize your skin, are clean ingredients, & can be used by the whole family as a moisturizer for your skin.

I use to be obsessed with the Neutrogena Body Oil and I used it as a shaving oil for years, but it doesn’t have clean ingredients. Making my own formula that has clean ingredients and no fragrance in it makes so much more sense and I wanted to share it with you.

Body Oil Can Be Used For The Whole Family

What makes this shaving & body oil so great is the whole family can use it in the shower. You can rub some on just your arms & legs or put it on your little ones while they are in the tub instead of using lotion after. All of these ingredients are natural & beneficial to the skin so there aren’t any harmful effects.

You can always do a little test area beforehand to make sure your skin doesn’t have a reaction, just to be safe.

Is It Bad To Shave With Oil

No, but the difference between shaving oil and shaving cream is the shaving oil doesn’t chemically soften your hair before you shave. Shaving cream has a very high pH of 10 or 11 and can inhibit the skin’s natural acid protection. Shaving cream has the same pH level as household cleaners, which isn’t good for your skin. You can apply the shaving oil and let it sit for a minute to moisturize the hairs before you shave.

Materials You Will Need

  • 8 oz bottle with a pump
  • Small glass measuring cup
  • Funnel
  • Castor oil 2 oz
  • Fractionated coconut oil 3 oz
  • Avocado oil 1 oz
  • Almond oil 1 oz
  • Sesame seed oil 1 oz
  • Vitamin E oil splash to top it off

This is just the recipe that I have been using but the list of additional oils listed above under “what oils are good for shaving/body & their benefits” can be used in place of any of these oils. You can experiment with the consistency and see what combination you prefer. All of these oils are amazing and will moisturize your skin so there is no right or wrong. You can find the additional oils below.

  • Jojoba oil
  • Hemp seed oil
  • Olive oil
  • Argan oil

How To Make DIY Shaving & Body Oil

It couldn’t be any easier. Measure out your ingredients and add to your bottle using your funnel. Give it a good swirl to mix together the ingredients. If you’re using an extra large bottle you can double your recipe or if you have a smaller bottle you can split the recipe in half. Enjoy!
