If you have smelly feet, you know what it feels like to be an embarrassment. Whether from bacteria or fungus, your feet can make you feel like you’re not up to par. A good way to eliminate the problem is by using a foot spray that contains essential oils. Essential oils are naturally occurring with therapeutic properties and often carry intense aromas that can change moods or health conditions. The most popular essential oil used for treating foot odour is peppermint oil. It contains menthol, a coolant on the skin and helps reduce irritation caused by bacteria and fungi.

What is essential oil?

Essential oils are natural substances that have been distilled from plants and flowers. They can be used as aromas or fragrances in perfumes and cosmetics or to help relieve pain, stress, anxiety and depression by balancing the nervous system.

How to use an essential oil on your feet?

Using essential oils to eliminate foot odour is an easy process. All you have to do is apply a few drops of the essential oil onto your feet with any carrier oil and leave it on for about five minutes. The smell will get absorbed into your skin; you can rinse it off with water or a shower. You can also use it in a homemade foot soak or foot mask.

How to find the perfect essential oil for your skin?

The first thing you need to do is find out what essential oils are suitable for your feet. There are many different types of essential oils, each with its properties and uses. To find the perfect oil for your feet, you should start by checking the label of your favourite brand of soap or lotion. If it has any aroma therapy or fragrance listed on the label, it will likely have some therapeutic properties as well.

Essential oils can be used in several ways:

1) They can be inhaled directly from a vaporizer or diffuser when you feel like having a relaxing time.

2) They can be applied topically on the skin (with caution).

3) They can be used in bath products such as bath bombs and soaps.

1) Peppermint essential oil:

Peppermint has been traditionally used for treating sore muscles and headaches, but it also has antibacterial and antifungal properties that can help with foot odour. Research has shown that peppermint oil kills Staphylococcus aureus, one of the most common forms of bacteria found in foot odour. Additionally, peppermint oil has been known to kill Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes), a bacteria associated with acne, and athlete’s foot (tinea pedis).

Other benefits:

  • Contains anti-inflammatory ingredients
  • Promotes hair growth
  • Relieves headache and muscle pain
  • Eliminates foot odour
  • Cleanses the skin pores
  • Regulates sebum secretion

2) Lemongrass essential oil:

Lemongrass essential oil is a great way to eliminate foot odour naturally. In addition, it has antiseptic properties and is used in many natural remedies for other ailments, including skin conditions such as acne and eczema. The smell of lemongrass comes from the plant’s oil content, which contains citral and limonene. Citral is known for its ability to fight bacteria, while limonene has been shown to reduce inflammation in the body.

Other Benefits:

  • Heals skin infection
  • Contains anti-fungal, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties
  • Prevent gastric ulser
  • Reduces nausea
  • Help reduce cholesterol
  • Regulates sugar level

Dr foot’s foot spray for smelly feet is enriched with aromatic lemongrass and tea tree essential oil. This smelly shoe spray deodourizes your size and also helps reduce inflammation. This shoe deodorant contains no harsh chemicals, so it has no side effects on the skin.

3) Clove essential oil:

Clove essential oil is one of the most powerful aromatherapy oils on earth. Clove oil contains eugenol, a chemical compound found in cloves, which has antibacterial and antifungal properties. This property allows clove oil to slow down or hinder the growth of bacteria that causes foot odour. You can also store it in a bottle and use it as a shoe spray to prevent odour buildup.

Other benefits:

  • Improves digestive system
  • Helps to ease respiratory conditions
  • Reduces toothache

4) Tea tree essential oil:

Tea tree is another great natural remedy for foot odour. Tea tree oil has antiseptic properties that can help prevent infection and kill bacteria that cause foot odour. It also has antimicrobial properties that can help prevent infection from spreading through the body, leading to a more severe condition like MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus). You can use a drop or two in a bath or shower to banish unpleasant smells.

Other benefits:

  • Insect repellent
  • Natural deodorant
  • Heals wounds and scrapes
  • Reduces acne and nail fungus
  • Soothes skin inflammation

5) Cedarwood essential oil:

This oil has been used in traditional medicine since ancient times as a remedy for various ailments, including joint pains, muscle cramps, rheumatism and headaches. It also helps relieve stress and anxiety, which can be caused by several factors, such as stress at work or home. This oil is extracted from the distilled steam of Juniperus Virginia, native to North America. The aroma of Cedarwood oil has a calming and grounding effect. It also nourishes and moisturizes your skin pores and inhibits the growth of pathogens on your feet. You can mix it with sage oil, and as a carrier oil, you can use almond or jojoba oil.

Other Benefits:

  • Heals heel pain
  • Treats acne
  • Improves sleep cycle
  • Contains antibacterial properties
  • Stimulates hair growth
