Gordon Ramsay has an “easy” recipe for smoky pulled pork – and he called it “mouthwatering.”
The TV chef first filmed a tutorial of his method in 2016 – and uploaded it to his YouTube channel.

He’s reuploaded the recipe this week though, promoting it as one that families can do together.
In the tutorial, Gordon is joined by daughter Megan to make smoky pulled pork with a spicy chipotle mayonnaise – which he described as “beautiful,” “incredible” and “very easy” to make yourself.
So what ingredients will you need? And how do you prepare the pork? Here’s the recipe he uses.
You’re going to need various ingredients for the recipe, including various spices and of course pork.
Gordon used a piece of pork butt, similar to a pork shoulder, which takes around 6 hours to cook.

The other ingredients are easily obtained from your local supermarket, including salt, garlic and oil.
According to the chef’s recipe, the items that you’ll need for the smoky pulled pork are as follows:
The tutorial also shows how to make a spicy chipotle mayonnaise, using the following ingredients:
If you aren’t fancying a spicy mayonnaise, then you can just use regular mayonnaise or your own sauce.
Gordon began the tutorial by cutting the onions in half and then repeating this. Then place them at in a dish with some thyme storks on top – you’ll add the pork to it later on.
It’s “really important” to leave the roots on the onions though because “[you] want this to sit underneath the pork. It gives it a chance to cook evenly and doesn’t get dry on the bottom.”
Next make a paste in a bowl, starting by peeling and then crushing garlic. Add three tablespoons of paprika, two large tablespoons of brown sugar, salt, pepper, olive oil and some thyme – and stir it together.
You should pour the paste over the pork and then you need to be “really quick” and “massage” the paste into the pork. Drizzle some olive oil on top and this will “keep the pork nice and moist.”

The TV chef said you can marinate the meat days in advance as you would with certain other party dishes. He commented: “If I was doing this for a Sunday, I’d start marinating on a Thursday, Friday.”
Once you’re ready to cook the meat, place the pork in the dish – on top of the onions and thyme – and put into the oven for between 5 and a half to 6 hours at 140.
That gives you plenty of time to prepare the spicy sauce that will accompany it, with Gordon using shop-bought mayonnaise as the base – though it’ll be transformed using the other ingredients.
Put some mayonnaise into a bowl and add salt, pepper, “a touch of honey,” smoked chipotle paste and a spoonful of mustard. Mix all of these together and you’ll have a “nice, spicy mayonnaise.”
“Once you’ve made this dressing it can sit in the fridge and it’s great for sandwiches,” Gordon explained.
And that’s it. Once the pork has cooked, remove it from the oven and “shred it” using a fork. Serve with the spicy mayonnaise and onions – as well as an additional side dishes that you chose to accompany them.
