Hell’s Kitchen is returning to Fox for Season 21, this time titled Hell’s Kitchen: Battle of the Ages.
The cooking competition was last seen on screen in 2021 for its 20th season, which had been filmed before the COVID-19 pandemic in Las Vegas.

Now, the new season will see chef—and host—Gordon Ramsay and the team returning to the Hell’s Kitchen headquarters in Los Angeles for the first post-pandemic installment.
For the first time ever on Hell’s Kitchen, the contestants will engage in a “battle of the ages” as well-seasoned 40-year-olds will battle against fresh up-and-coming 20-somethings.
According to Fox, the competition is set to be fierce as each team is put through “rigorous culinary challenges, featuring high-stakes rewards and punishments, all with age-defying bragging rights on the line.”

As the competition progresses, the chefs who are not living up to expectations will be cut from the lineup, until only one remains and is named the winner.
Ramsay, 55, will be joined by Jay Santos who was a contestant on Season 7 of the show. Since Season 19 he has featured on Hell’s Kitchen as a sous-chef, helping and guiding the contestants along in the season.
Christina Wilson, a contestant from Season 10, will also be back as a sous-chef. This season Wilson will be helping the 20-something team while Santos will be guiding the 40-somethings through the competition.
Marino Monferrato has been the maître d’ on Hell’s Kitchen since Season 13 and will also be reprising his role for Season 21.
The stakes are high for this year’s contestants, with a life-changing grand prize on the line that includes a Head Chef position, a cash prize of $250,000 and the coveted title of winner of Hell’s Kitchen.
