Kitchen water bottle storage ideas are essential for any family. With the increased use of reusable water bottles such as HydroFlask and other tumblers, we mommas are losing the battle between function and storage. Simply put, we only have a little space for the things we need. The kids store multiple bottles, from school water bottles to sports and other activities. Those are all the bottles before adding in travel mugs, coffee mugs, or drink containers for any additional family member.
Keeping the kitchen counter free of clutter is typically a hassle, but it doesn’t have to be.

Use these storage and organization hacks to store water bottles and make the most of your space- making space for the moments that matter most. This post includes the best kitchen storage ideas for every scenario. Have no room in the kitchen, managing a small space, or simply needing more options? This post has the perfect solution. Organize any water bottle collection with these savvy tips.
Consumers are increasingly choosing bottled water instead of less healthy packaged drinks. Which is great for our overall health, but how do we organize all of these extra bottles?
To keep a kitchen organized, it is important to have a system for organizing water bottles. There are a few different ways to organize water bottles, and the chosen method will depend on your kitchen layout. Below are options for most household needs.
I love a good dual-purpose wine rack for storage just as much as the next girl, but sometimes the presentation with mix-and-match pieces doesn’t work with the decor. Other times, I /we would rather not see the water bottle collection staring us in the face every time we walk into the room. Either way, it’s our home, and we can create peace in whatever way serves us. If hiding them brings joy, why not? Here are hacks for hiding water bottles in the home.
The best way to store water bottles is to use a drawer. Drawers usually need to be bigger to hold all the bottles in one place. But, if you have a deep enough drawer, you can use this trick to store bottles. Placing a sleeve over each bottle keeps them from rattling together. Also, keep dust away from your bottles. Kitchen drawers are a great solution for those who have a lot of bottles but don’t want to spend a lot of money on pantry storage.
The most obvious kitchen water bottle storage method is hiding bottles in a cabinet. Line the cabinet shelves and stack them in a stackable organizer, lay them flat with one on top of the other, or store them standing in a neat row.
It’s that easy!
With this method, you can easily find your favorite bottle at a glance- making getting out of the house in a hurry THAT much easier.
Many people prefer to store their water bottles in the pantry. However, pantry shelves are prime real estate. Using the back of a door frees up shelf space while providing much-needed storage for bulky water bottles- especially in homes where you don’t have much space.
You can use a wire coat hanger to loop over the handle of your bottle so it hangs on the inside instead of getting caught up in door handles.
Don’t have a pantry? Grab string or more hangers (like our pantry door storage tip above), and two handles.
Bonus: This tip is not just a water bottle storage hack. It also works for other areas of a home. Perfect for hanging up water bottles outside in a garden or other location where there isn’t any counter space.
Align them neatly standing, place them in a kitchen water bottle holder, or slide them onto the cabinet shelf lying flat.
Voila!
No hassle water bottle storage in minutes!
Got a drawer steep enough for water bottles? Arrange them to keep the bottles in a straight line using drawer dividers. The dividers allow each container to have its own space- keeping the space neat even when the kids are constantly in and out.
It’s an ideal solution and one of my personal favorite ways to hide water bottles in a kitchen.

Your design aesthetic stays consistent. You don’t see those pesky store brand labels, and it’s super easy to toss any size bottle in a bin.
I call that a win!
Under the kitchen sink is a great spot for creating an easy water bottle storage area. There are usually shelves and hooks for storing items. And, where no shelves or hooks exist, there tends to be more than enough space to pop in another type of organizer, like a water bottle drying rack or bottle stand to keep things in place.
The best kitchen water bottle storage ideas are practical and functional! Therefore, storing water bottles in the kitchen only makes sense, as most beverages (including water) are also held there. Here are more water bottle storage hacks for your kitchen that can be out in the open or tucked away out of sight.
Ditch the wine bottles for water bottles
Said no one!
But before you pack your bags and bolt from this page, hear me out.
One alternative method for storing water bottles and travel mugs is wine racks. Wine racks allow you to keep and organize your bottles in many places around your home. They also serve as decorative pieces for dining rooms and provide easy access to hydration when in a hurry- which, “let’s be honest- is ALL OF THE TIME.”
A storage container can be anything! Anything, Including a designated space on the kitchen countertop. Create beautiful spaces in every room with an organizing tray!
Trays are one of the best hacks for separating a continuous space and taking an area from blah to BAM! And yes, this works when it comes to organizing water bottles too.
Simply grab a tray that fits your space and the number of water bottles or coffee mugs you have, and stack them in a way that fills the vertical space or horizontal space.
That’s it!
P.s adding a small photo or vase to the area can spruce it up and make it look most intentional.
Grab a clear container and slap a label on it. Slide it onto a pantry shelf for a clean, clutter-free storage hack.
Refrigerator storage is the best kitchen storage for disposable plastic water bottles. Pop them in the fridge to keep them cold, line them up straight, place them in a refrigerator organizer bin, or stack them in a water bottle organizer.
Refrigerator storage is a simple solution with endless options. Just be sure to consider the size of your fridge and the spacing between each shelf. I constantly buy products before measuring spaces (Never ends well!!).
If you want to use a more permanent solution for storing water bottles, you can buy a water bottle wall mount. This will help you save space and keep your water bottles visible yet hidden.
To install a water bottle wall mount, you can attach it to the back of your cabinet door- hiding your bottles inside. You can even store them in different places around the house, like the living room or dining room. Remember, the more visible they are, the more likely the kids will use them!
Dare I say this is one of the best ways to get them to drink less soda too?
Lazy susans are a great way to save space and store water bottles in a small kitchen. Other benefits of having a Lazy Susan in your kitchen include being able to easily access water bottles without having to search through a pile of cups and glasses.
The best perk is that a Lazy Susan can be used to store other small items, like spices or utensils. Yes, dual-purpose kitchen organizers are my favorite- Making it easy to reorganize and repurpose this product later!
What mom says “no” to easy-to-clean storage?
None!
Therefore, stackable water bottle storage is a go-to hack for small kitchens and busy mommas. They clean easily, are very sturdy, and can hold a lot of water bottles.
You’ll love these because they’re easy to install and occupy minimal counter space. A simple solution to a common kitchen clutter problem!
Placing a shoe organizer in the closet can provide useful organization for any room. It works great with bottles of water in different shapes. Plus, the inside contains just enough room for the average 16oz water bottle.
A door organizer eliminates the need for a plastic water bottle storage rack– making it easy to find water while minimizing clutter!
Anything to decrease tasks for mom!

Wire coat hanger storage is a great way to store bottles in homes with small kitchens or no shelves.
These organizers typically have several compartments that can hold different sizes and shapes of water bottles. They may also have features such as hooks or loops for hanging bottles or feeding tubes.
Store up to 24 water bottles of different sizes with this type of water bottle rack. The rack is durable plastic and sturdy.
Proving to be a great option for ditching the age-old top-of-the-fridge storage dump, and creating intentional, organized areas.
Don’t throw away the rack for your baby bottles! Sanitize it and turn it into a home for unused water bottles.
Maybe this is one of my fav options because it allows us to reuse some of that expensive newborn equipment, or perhaps it’s the simplicity of this hack, either way, I love it, and I think you’ll find it handy as well.
If you have a magazine rack, repurpose it and put it to good use by storing water bottles. Using magazine racks to organize is the perfect plastic water bottle storage Idea. This is a great way to keep your water bottles tidy and within reach.

Go to a few dollar stores to mix and match your needed pieces and keep the budget low.
