Our new Watermelon Glow AHA Night Treatment is finally here and ready to give you the skin of your dreams. A powerhouse overnight treatment, it’s designed to smooth, brighten, and hydrate to deliver extra-glowy skin when you wake.

If it looks familiar, that may be because the Watermelon Glow AHA Night Treatment was born from our OG Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask. When reformulating our iconic formula, we realized we had created an entirely new innovation with advanced ingredients and technology. Curious about how to use it in your routine or how it works? Head here for an introduction to the product, and keep reading to find the answers to your biggest questions about this game-changing new formula.

THE INGREDIENTS

What is the ingredient breakdown of the 2.5% pH-balanced AHA complex?

Watermelon Glow AHA Night Treatment contains a 2.5% pH-balanced AHA complex consisting of glycolic and lactic acids for powerful yet gentle exfoliation. In other words, it’s as potent and efficacious as 10% glycolic acid, but gentle enough that it won’t irritate skin.

What is glycolic acid, and how is it beneficial to skin?

Glycolic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid that works as a chemical exfoliant to increase cell turnover and loosen dead skin cells for smooth, exfoliated skin with fewer fine lines and a more even texture.

What is lactic acid, and how is it beneficial to skin?

Lactic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid that works as a chemical exfoliant to firm the skin, even skin tone, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

What are the skincare benefits of watermelon?

Watermelon, which is rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and amino acids, is known to moisturize and soothe. Plus, it also contains lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that helps to smooth fine lines and wrinkles.

Where does the color come from?

The formula color is a natural colorant derived from false daisy (eclipta prostrata) extract, melia azadirachta leaf extract, and moringa oleifera seed oil.

Is the fragrance natural?

The fragrance in our Watermelon Night Treatment is 100% naturally derived and comes from plant-based materials like fruits and vegetables. We formulate using the minimum amount of fragrance, when needed, to create a sensorial, enjoyable skincare experience. Fragrance is always less than 0.5% of our formulations, and all fragrances are vegan and free of PCM compounds, acetone, essential oils, and much more.

IS IT RIGHT FOR MY SKIN?

What skin types is Watermelon Glow AHA Night Treatment suitable for?

Watermelon Night Treatment is suitable for all skin types.

Is this suitable for acne prone, oily skin?

Yes! This formula has a lightweight texture that absorbs nicely into the skin, and contains AHA and niacinamide, which are beneficial for oily and blemish-prone skin types.

Is it non-comedogenic/non-acnegenic?

This formula is derm-tested and non-comedogenic/non-acnegenic, meaning it won’t clog pores or lead to breakouts. All ingredients are gentle and safe for all skin types.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes! Watermelon Glow AHA Night Treatment is gentle and hydrating, and contains both niacinamide and watermelon extract to calm and nourish sensitive skin. We’d recommend using it 2-3 nights per week, and always do a patch test first before applying all over the face.

Is it safe to use while pregnant or breastfeeding?

While our Watermelon Glow AHA Night Treatment does not contain BHA or retinol, we recommend consulting your doctor for the best advice before using during pregnancy or breastfeeding!

HOW TO USE

How do I use this product?

We recommend using Watermelon Glow AHA Night Treatment as the final step of your nighttime skincare routine! If you prefer a minimal routine, Watermelon Glow AHA Night Treatment can be used on its own or after toner or serums as your moisturizing step instead of your traditional moisturizer.

How often can I use this?

To start, we recommend using Watermelon Glow AHA Night Treatment 2-3 nights per week due to the powerful acids in this formula—then working up to more frequent usage if desired!

Can I use it during the day?

We recommend Watermelon Glow AHA Night Treatment primarily for night routines! Don’t forget to wear SPF in the mornings, too.

Is it OK/safe to use in a routine with other exfoliants or actives?

If using products with other exfoliants or actives, we always recommend patch-testing first and gradually introducing Watermelon Night Treatment into your routine! Everyone’s tolerance for using multiple actives is different, so be sure to listen to what your unique skin needs.

Can I use this with retinol?

Because Watermelon Glow AHA Night Treatment contains powerful chemical exfoliants, we do not recommend using together with retinol. You can use these ingredients on alternate nights! For sensitive skin types, be sure to patch test before using.

What is the proper way to store my Watermelon Night Treatment?

Due to the actives in this formula, store this at room temperature in a dry, dark place. You can also store it in the refrigerator if you choose for a refreshing, cooling experience!

SUSTAINABILITY

How is the watermelon in this formula sourced?

The watermelon in this formula is processed in a way that helps conserve energy, water, and utilizes all parts of the fruit, including the rind—which would otherwise be discarded as waste!

What is the recyclability of the packaging?

Our Watermelon Glow AHA Night Treatment jar is made with 20% post-consumer recycled glass and can be completely recycled! The carton is 100% recyclable and made with FSC-Certified paper, free of heavy metals or acids, and printed with vegetable/soy ink.
