Texas Roadhouse just revealed the recipe for its Hurricane Margarita

Whenever I go to Texas Roadhouse, there are three things I have to get: a Cactus Blossom, a massive prime rib and a Hurricane Margarita. While I wouldn’t dare try to recreate the first two at home, I should now be able to handle the cocktail.

The restaurant chain just released the recipe for the Hurricane Margarita, along with four of its other signature drinks, just in time for the hottest days of the year. Whether you like rum, tequila — a mix of both — or red wine as a base for your cocktails, you’ll find a drink worth trying on this list.

The Hurricane Margarita is joined by the Sangria Red, Jamaican Cowboy, Kenny’s Cooler and Armadillo Punch in what might be my favorite recipe collection compiled during the quarantine. Texas Roadhouse revealed the recipes on a new Pinterest page recently, with the fitting title, “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere.”

Let’s start with the Hurricane Margarita. The full recipe was revealed by the chain in a Facebook post that’s been shared nearly 4,000 times so far.

As you can see, the cocktail combines the flavors of two classic drinks — the margarita and the hurricane — into a refreshing mix of rum, tequila, orange juice, pineapple juice and grenadine. It also calls for a little margarita mix and is topped off with a slice of fresh orange and a cherry.

Next up is Kenny’s Cooler, which was inspired by the breezy tunes of country music icon Kenny Chesney. You’ll end up with a bright blue drink that tastes like coconuts, peaches and lemonade.

Kenny’s Cooler

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 ounces coconut rum
  • 3/4 ounce peach schnapps
  • 1/2 ounce non-alcoholic blue curaçao syrup
  • 1/2 ounce sweet and sour mix
  • 6 ounces lemonade
  • Cherry
  • Orange slice

Directions:

Fill a glass with ice. Pour all ingredients — except cherry and orange slice — into a cocktail shaker and shake well. Pour into the glass over ice. Garnish with the fruit.

Armadillo Punch is another classic Texas Roadhouse drink. Its flavors include coconut, orange, pineapple and cranberry.

Armadillo Punch

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 ounces coconut rum
  • 1 1/2 ounces orange juice
  • 1 1/2 ounces cranberry juice
  • 1 1/2 ounces pineapple juice
  • Orange slice

Directions:

Fill a glass with ice. Build the drink in the glass over ice, using all ingredients but the orange slice. Roll the drink back and forth between the glass and a shaker a few times to combine. Garnish with the orange slice.

The Jamaican Cowboy is great for people who prefer a bit of tequila with their rum. It’s also got pineapple, orange, cranberry and peach flavors.

  • 1/2 ounce coconut rum

Finally, the Sangria Red is perfect for red wine lovers. This refreshing cocktail is made with a long list of bar staples, as well as some peach puree and lemon-lime soda.

  • 3 1/2 ounces red wine
  • 2 1/2 ounces orange juice
  • 1/2 ounce sweet and sour mix

  • 1/2 ounce peach puree
  • 1/2 ounce brandy
  • Splash of lemon-lime soda
  • Lime wedge
  • Cherry
