Tickets and Fines – Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office

All tickets and fines are to be paid before the Court Date. (Example Ticket and Fine information at the bottom of this page). The Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office allows three ways to pay tickets or fines:

  1. Pay online by clicking hereOnline payments are accepted through nCourt, a 3rd party company. Payments processed by nCourt are subject to a processing fee and may take up to 21 days to process. Once your payment has been processed your receipt can be mailed or faxed to you by request. If you do not call to request a receipt you will not be provided one. If your license is suspended you will need a receipt to have it reinstated. Fine amounts shown on this website do not include any late fees that may be required. While every effort is made to keep these amounts accurate and up-to-date, ANY and ALL amounts shown on this website are tentative and subject to change at any time without notice at the discretion of the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office. If your payment will not arrive by the Due Date (the picture below shows you how to find this) it is your responsibility to call (337)-821-2102 for your new fine amount that will include a late fee. In addition, some violations may also carry a mandatory court appearance.
  2. Pay in person at the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office building, located at:1530 Hwy. 90 West(1530 Shankland Ave.)Jennings, Louisiana 70546When entering the Sheriff’s Office location, drive down the entry driveway, through the double gate, to the back building. Enter through the double doors of the main office building and make payments at the counter. If you pay in person, only Cash, Money Orders or Cashier’s Checks will be accepted. No Debit Card, Credit Card, or Personal Check will be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you pay with a Cashier’s Check or a Money Order make it out to: Jeff. Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office.
  3. Pay by mailJeff. Davis Parish Sheriff’s OfficeP.O. Box 863Jennings, Louisiana 70546If you pay by mail only Money Orders or Cashier’s Checks will be accepted. No Personal Checks or Cash will be accepted through the mail. No Exceptions. Make your Cashier’s Check or Money Order out to: Jeff. Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office

Regardless of how you pay, the ticket is due by the Court Date listed on the ticket (Shown as “DUE DATE” in the picture to the right). The picture on the right should assist you in obtaining most of the information you need. There is a Table below that has prices for most Traffic Citations. Please contact the Traffic Division at (337)-821-2102 to make any additional inquires.

Fine amounts, shown on this website, are only approximate amounts and do not include any late fees that may be required. Citizens are encouraged to call the above number for the exact amount of your fine before mailing in a payment.

Personal checks will not be accepted under any circumstances and will be returned to the sender, immediately.

NO DRIVER’S LICENSE, DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION AND SPEEDING MORE THAN 30 MPH OVER THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT REQUIRE A MANDATORY COURT APPEARANCE.
