From today on we are going to start our Outdoor Series campaign. Here we plan to feature at least one outdoor enthusiast every week and share their individual stories with our audience.
In our first-ever Outdoor Series blog post, we are introducing Luke Pearsall. He is a commercial outdoor adventure and travel photographer based out of Denver Colorado. He also runs a gear review website called Outdoor Gear Geeks.

When he was just 2 months old, Luke’s family took him on his first-ever camping trip. Since then he has never stopped traveling and exploring the great outdoors. In his own words, Luke explains that he always enjoyed being outdoors and says there was never a time in his life when he didn’t go outdoors. Growing up, his family used to spend most summers road-tripping and camping across the United States. And because of his family’s fondness for the outdoors, he even used to have camping birthday parties at the local state parks in cities like New Jersey.

When asked about what excites him the most about going outdoors and if he had to overcome any challenge, he replied that it’s difficult for him to pin down one singular thing that excites him the most. But he further explained that he feels a visceral feeling of joy and excitement every single time he steps foot in national parks or any wilderness-rich areas. Any place filled with wilderness is pretty much good enough to bring up that feeling in him.
Luke Pearsall, “The world is full of outdoor places that make you feel small, that challenge you, humble you and make you realize that we all have to do a better job at protecting the outdoors.”
As for the challenges he had to overcome, he says that challenges are never-ending in the outdoors. For him, the world is full of outdoor places that make you feel small, that challenge you, humble you, and make you realize that we all have to do a better job at protecting the outdoors. One challenge or experience in particular that he recalls is his backpacking trip in the desert. There was no water for miles and miles and the wind was so powerful that it collapsed his tent in the middle of the night while he was sound asleep. But to Luke, these things are all part of the adventure. And that adds more excitement to the journey and makes it more memorable for him.
The photo that you see above is from his fall camping trip to Aspen, Colorado. It’s one of his favorite trips ever. He went on that trip with some of his closest friends and he chose Colorado because he thinks that Colorado during the fall offers some of the best spots in the U.S. for some serious leaf-peeping. On this particular trip, he had brought two Trekology products with him. One was the Aluft 2.0 Ultralight Pillow and the other was the Portable Camping Table with Aluminum Top.

Luke tells us that he loves the Trekology Pillow because it’s very comfortable, extremely lightweight, and takes up no room in his car camping kit. As for the table, he really likes how it breaks down into a very compact form and has an aluminum top that makes it practical for using a cooking stove on top of.
We also asked Luke what’s the best thing about going outdoors with a Trekology product. To this question, Luke answered back saying that the Trekology products are very practical, well-made products at very affordable prices. The Trekology Inflatable Pillows are as comfortable as any on the market and at a way better price! He even mentions that everyone who loves spending time outdoors should be able to get outside affordably and still have good quality gear. And, to him, Trekology is one of the brands making that happen.
Lastly, for beginners who have just started going outdoors and don’t know what to expect, Luke offers this piece of advice. “Do a little research about the places you are going, each ecosystem is different and needs to be respected. Be mindful of your impact on the places you recreate in outdoors and be responsible with how you play in them.”
And to end our 1st Outdoor Series blog post, here is Luke’s personal list of to-do things whenever he finds himself exploring the great outdoors:
