1. Find your level: successful garden tile installation needs a flat, level surface and a solid base for the tiles to rest on. With flooring projects, this could be an existing patio or decked area, or it may be that you actually need to create a custom-made concrete base. The latter will obviously be a bit more labour-intensive to make sure that it’s structurally sound, so it’s worth seeking professional advice when it comes to this process.
