Many of our favorite outdoor art projects are extra messy or may require the use of natural material such as pine cones, twigs, rocks, or acorns. Being outside makes accessing natural materials and cleaning up a breeze!

9. Ochre Paintings

In our new book, Sticks and Stones, kids will learn how to crush dried clay and sedimentary rock to create the earth pigment known as ochre.
