The PopCap development team recently announced a new Player Loyalty Rewards program for players who reached certain player ranks in the first Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare game. The rewards come in the form of sticker packs that can be unlocked in Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, with prizes that include customizations, consumables, and even a new Legendary characters.
In Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, players can transfer their previously unlocked characters from the first Garden Warfare into the upcoming sequel by connecting their Origin profile from the first game. The Player Loyalty sticker packs will also become available in Garden Warfare 2 upon transferring your player profile, depending on your previous player rank in the first Garden Warfare.

There are several different Player Loyalty reward sticker packs in Garden Warfare 2 that are awarded to those who have reached a player level of 10, 25, 50, and 100 in the first Garden Warfare game. These packs contain in-game items such as consumables, customizations, and even a rare character. Unlocking a higher level sticker pack will still grant the player the previous level rewards as well. Although customizations and consumables are valuable prizes, the most coveted Player Loyalty reward is the Legendary Unicorn Chomper, which is only available to players who reach rank 313, the maximum player rank in the first Garden Warfare.
Hitting a max rank of 313 in Garden Warfare is no easy feat, even for those who have owned the game for over a year. Luckily, the Player Loyalty rewards offer will be available until 2017, which should be plenty of time to level up and even hit max rank in the first Garden Warfare. However, since Garden Warfare 2 is set to be released at the end of February, many players would like to have these loyalty rewards available as soon as they dive into the sequel. For this guide, we’ve put together a few tips to help you level up efficiently in the first Garden Warfare, just in time to snag a few Player Loyalty rewards in the upcoming sequel.

Player rank in the first Garden Warfare game is generally based on the level of each character class. Your personal player rank will increase as you level up each character class type. There are eight character classes total, including four plant classes and four zombie classes. Reaching rank 10 with any of the classes will unlock a rare character, and each class has its own maximum rank.
To level up a character class, you must complete the challenges listed on the right side of the menu while viewing a character type. The challenges listed for a particular character class must be completed by using a character within that class. For example, if there is a Foot Soldier class challenge to vanquish a certain number of players with the ZPG rocket, then that challenge can be completed by any of the Foot Soldier variants you have unlocked.
There is a progress bar above the challenges that illustrates how much further you have until that particular character class levels up. Make note of the progress you have made on each character level. Try to focus on completing challenges for characters that you play with often, in order to level these characters up quickly and make the most of your in-game playtime.
Certain sticker packs in the in-game store will offer Skip Challenge Stars, along with other customizations and consumables. Skip Challenge Stars, as the name implies, allow you to skip character challenges of your choice. Some challenges are much more difficult than others, so it is best to reserve your Skip Challenge Stars for these challenges. Skipping the harder challenges will allow you to focus on the easier challenges during your playtime. The more challenges you can complete in a session, the faster you will level up your characters and increase your player rank.

Both the Craaazy and Supremium sticker packs offer the chance to earn Skip Challenge Stars. However, since the Craaazy sticker packs are half the cost of the Supremium packs, you would actually have better chances of earning Skip Challenge Stars by purchasing two Craaazy sticker packs for the price of one Supremium . If you are unlocking sticker packs for the sole purpose of getting Skip Challenge Stars, then the Craaazy sticker packs are likely your best option.
Playing multiplayer matches is the best way to earn coins in Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare. However, keep in mind that some game modes offer less coins than others. The best game mode for earning the most coins is Gardens & Graveyards, because the matches last a bit longer, and there are more objectives available. The zombie team tends to earn more coins in Gardens & Graveyards, due to the fact that they have to push forward and capture objectives.
When playing Gardens & Graveyards, try to play as a supportive role, such as the Engineer, Scientist, or Sunflower, as these classes offer more ways of earning additional coins and XP. For example, the Engineer is the only class that can build teleporters, which are also only available in the Gardens & Graveyards game mode. The Engineer will earn additional coins for building the teleporter, having teammates use the teleporter, and for building the defensive turrets. Depending on the character class you are attempting to level up, try to perform additional tasks such as heals or revives along with vanquishes to earn the most coins. Earning coins lets you open sticker packs, which can give you the Skip Challenge Stars needed for ranking up.
Keep these general tips in mind when playing Garden Warfare, and you should be able to hit max rank in no time. For an overview of the new character classes coming to Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, check out our guide detailing each character.
