South Point’s Garden Buffet is most well-known for its six live cooking stations serving an impressive selection of tasty dishes.

The six live cooking stations include a Mexican, Italian, Barbecue, Chinese, and Seafood section, as well as a Mongolian Grill.

A carving station features a wide array of premium meats during brunch, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast includes a made-to-order omelet and egg station rather than the carving station.

The breakfast buffet menu includes fluffy pancakes, baked breakfast pastries, corned beef hash, eggs benedict, French toast, fresh fruit, hash browns, carved ham, and hot off-the-iron fresh waffles.

You also have to try the surprisingly good cooked-to-order cheese omelet on the breakfast buffet menu.

Or, you can have them cook up your own combination of ingredients, like one with sauteed mushrooms and spinach.

Don’t forget to have a free bloody mary or two at the breakfast buffet prior to a day out at the pool or walking around town! If you love a good bloody mary, this buffet is great, but there are also some wonderful bottomless mimosa and bloody mary brunch options in Las Vegas.

Join them on the weekend for their champagne brunch buffet menu to soak up the bottomless mimosas. You get the best of the breakfast and dinner buffet all in one meal.

Why have breakfast prior to lunch when you can just have it all at this weekend brunch?!

The breakfast menu includes French toast, fresh fruit, eggs benedict, fluffy pancakes, and international dishes.

The complete prime rib dinner menu is available, which we will dive into more below.

Getting prime rib, seafood, fresh iron waffles, and cooked-to-order eggs all at unbeatable prices is one of the guilty pleasures in Las Vegas. The Garden Buffet has an elite brunch buffet menu compared to many of the other Las Vegas buffets.

For brunch, lunch, or dinner, you can always expect to start off with an extensive soup and salad bar that has pre-made salads, ingredients for your own creation, and accompaniments such as mixed fruit.

The dinner buffet Saturday through Thursday features prime rib and peel-and-eat shrimp as the main course, and we will go over the additions included on the Friday Seafood Night.

In addition to the prime rib, there is hand-carved rotisserie chicken and roasted turkey.

Other than peel-and-eat shrimp, seafood dishes on a prime rib dinner night include sushi, fish prepared multiple ways, and seafood creole. The Garden BUffet at South Point has made our list of the best Vegas seafood buffets.

At the Mongolian Grill, you’ll have the choice of several proteins, vegetables, and sauces to create your own masterpiece.

Put all the ingredients on a plate, hand it off to the chef, and enjoy a hot and fresh stir-fry designed by you.

You’ll also find plenty of selections for a world traveler, like Asian food such as fried rice, pad Thai, stir-frys, and other delights straight from the wok.

The additional cooking stations have Italian food, including pizza, pasta, and garlic bread, as well as barbecue-like smoked pork ribs and comfort food favorites like mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, and more.

In the category of Mexican food are items such as chicken enchiladas and a build-your-own taco bar, complete with all of the fixings.

The main difference between prime rib night and seafood night is that they more than double the seafood options on the buffet line.

So, you can get all of the items we were just talking about above, including prime rib plus more than a couple of dozen seafood dishes.

A few of the seafood dishes on Seafood Night are crab legs, oysters, fried catfish, and fried shrimp, though peel-and-eat shrimp is available every night and during brunch, too.

Lunch at South Point’s Buffet includes everything from the normal dinner menu, including the six live cooking stations, Mongolian Grill, and even the peel-and-eat shrimp!

The one exception is the carving station which has different offerings. The prime rib gets replaced with smoked brisket, and honey-glazed ham makes an appearance.

The entire dessert station is worth saving some room for. Between the hot bread pudding, French pastries, gelato bar, cakes, cookies, and pies, you’re in for a real treat.

Pricing for the buffet ranges from $14.95 up to $44.95.

Of course, the breakfast buffet is the least expensive, though it includes unlimited bloody marys, while the Seafood Night on Fridays is the most expensive.

Lunch is about $4 more than breakfast and, unfortunately, doesn’t include the unlimited bloody marys featured at breakfast.

The Prime Rib & Champagne Brunch and the Prime Rib Dinner are actually the same prices coming in a few cents under $27 per person.

In our opinion, the Weekend Brunch is a better value than the prime rib night because you still get the prime rib, and bottomless mimosas are also included.

With the Prime Rib Dinner, you only get two free glasses of draft beer, wine, or sangria.

When it comes to children, those ages 4 to 8 eat for half price, and those three years of age and under eat for free.

A great way to save on the pricing is with a Player’s Club Card.

Player’s Club members receive special pricing, which gives you $3 off of the regular price across the board. The membership is free to sign up for as well.

The general hours of South Point’s Buffet are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m to 9 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

However, between each of the buffets, there is an hour when food is not available for them to set up for the next one.

As we mentioned above, the buffet is located within the South Point Hotel Casino & Spa, with is just South of the Las Vegas Strip.

The exact address for navigation purposes is 9777 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89183.

Las Vegas locals like the Garden Buffet because the restaurant offers free and easy surface parking right out front making it a breeze to get to.

Overall, South Point’s Garden Buffet is the top buffet open currently in Las Vegas that maintains a daily buffet that includes dinner.

Many of the buffets reopened after closing for COVID-19 with limited operations, so it is a rarity that the buffet has maintained the standard for a Las Vegas buffet despite the current norm.

Though occasional reviews say that the buffet has average service and average quality, in our opinion, it’s the perfect balance of affordable and high-end.

You’ll have a hard time finding prime rib for the South Point price elsewhere in Las Vegas, which is a testament to its unbeatable prices.

The variety is above average as well, so whether you want Mexican, Italian, Barbecue, Chinese, tender cuts of meat, seafood, or whatever your favorite is, you’ll satisfy your cravings at the Garden Buffet.

Here, the second and last plate will always leave you just as satisfied as the first!
