If you’re visiting TD Garden with kids, take them to visit the Sports Museum on the 5th and 6th floors to see the history of Boston’s many winning sports teams!
In addition to the Celtics’ 17 World Championship banners and the Bruins’ 6 Stanley Cups, you can check out the Beanpot Trophy awarded during the annual Boston Beanpot hockey tournament held each year in February between local universities.
Check the Sports Museum website before you go to make sure they’re open, because they close on holidays and during certain Garden events.
TD Garden also contains several restaurants, multiple sports bars, lots of concession stalls, retail spaces, and other amenities add to your fun and comfort.
The area around the Garden is also home to many of the city’s top sports bars – perfect for lunch or dinner before or after a game or show.
In particular, The Fours, Sports Grille, and Boston Beer Works are all particularly family-friendly.
Faneuil Marketplace and the New England Aquarium are about 8-10 minutes by foot from the Garden. A 10-minute walk will also take you to historic Beacon Hill and the restaurant-rich Italian North End.
