How to make 100% Ultimate Reform Stones [Valencia Preparation]

Published by

Making your armor and weapon Ultimate can be frustrating because it’s all RNG. With the release of Valencia, new reform stones will become available to craft, which have a 100% success rate. Here’s a short guide showing how to craft them and what materials you can start gathering right now to prepare. It can be a lengthy process but if you dislike RNG then this is definitely the way to go.

Ultimate Weapon Reform Stone

  • Grade 3 Weapon Reform Stone x10
  • Sharp Black Crystal Shard x1
  • Open the Processing Window (L) then select “Heating”

Ultimate Armor Reform Stone

  • Grade 3 Armor Reform Stone x10
  • Hard Black Crystal Shard x1
  • Open the Processing Window (L) then select “Heating”

How to get Black Crystal Shards

Hard/Sharp Black Crystal Shards are a rare item obtained from gathering or farming. You can use a Lucky tool when gathering to increase your chances of gaining a Black Crystal Shard.

Black Crystal Shards can also be bought from a Black Market NPC, found in treasure chests (gold key) or as a reward in various profession quests.

You can gain a Hard Black Crystal Shard by completing the Knowledge Battle with Hailey quest line. I advise following >this reddit post< for more information.

    • (Troll Blood/Bear Blood/Ogre Blood) x2
    • Obtained through Alchemy Profession – requires Apprentice Lv 1
  • Black Stone Powder x40
    • Obtained by grinding crystal sockets or refining Rough Stone

You will want to begin by setting up your workers to gather the main materials: Platinum Ore, Iron Ore, Coal and Rough Black Crystals. You will also get a lot of Powder of Darkness which you can sell or use to create the Clown’s Blood. I would honestly recommend just buying the Tyrant’s Blood and Clown’s Blood, if you are not levelling Alchemy, because it requires Apprentice Lv 1 to craft. You may also want to buy the Old Tree Bark and Red Tree Lump, or gather this yourself if you don’t have many contribution points spare.

We decided to use Altinova to gather the materials because it is the only place you can get Rough Black Crystals and Platinum Ore. We used a total of 21 contribution points to set up the node connection and Worker Lodging.

Step 1

Buy Worker Lodging so that you can send 4 workers to all of the nodes we are going to invest in. Below is the set-up we used, it uses 3 contribution points. You will want to make sure you get the level 2 lodging at No. 6-2, Altinova.

Step 2

Go to the Work Supervisor in Altinova and hire 4 workers. We chose to hire Skilled Human workers because they have a lot of luck and have a higher chance of bringing back some of the materials we need.

Step 3

Set up your node connection. Here is a picture below of what it should look like. We’ve also included the import code if you would like to import this connection into our Interactive Map. To do so, simply click the node calculator button in the top right, then click “Import Connection” and copy and paste the code below into the popup box.

Import Code:

Q2l0eV8xLENpdHlfMixDaXR5XzMsQ2l0eV80LENpdHlfNSxWaWxsYWdlXzEsVmlsbGFnZV8yLFZpbGxhZ2VfMyxWaWxsYWdlXzQsVmlsbGFnZV81LFZpbGxhZ2VfNixWaWxsYWdlXzcsVmlsbGFnZV8xMSxWaWxsYWdlXzEyLFZpbGxhZ2VfMTMsVmlsbGFnZV8xNCxWaWxsYWdlXzE2LE1pbmVfNTQsQ29ubmVjdF8xNDUsVHJhZGVfMzEsTWluZV81MyxNaW5lXzU1LENvbm5lY3RfMTQwLENvbm5lY3RfMTQ0

Step 4

Send your workers to the nodes by clicking the production node then selecting a worker to send to it. The worker will put the items in the warehouse once they are finished. Make sure to feed them with Beer to recover their action points.

Now that we have the main materials, we need to collect the Black Stone Powder and start crafting the items, ready to create our reform stones. To get the Black Stone Powder, I would recommend grinding cheap crystal sockets, because this is the fastest way and doesn’t cost much money. If you have high processing there is also a chance you will proc and get more Black Stone Powder from grinding.

First, we want to create the Steel, open your processing window (L) then select “Heating” to heat the Iron Ore and create 5 Melted Iron Shards. You then want to heat the Melted Iron Shards and Coal to create Steel.

You will create the Melted Platinum Shards and Black Crystals in the same way by opening the processing window (L) then heating Platinum Ore.

You should then have all of the materials you need. Buy a level 3 Refinery to create the Grade 3 Reform Stones. There are only 2 of these workshops in Altinova, the connection below is the cheapest and only costs 11 contribution points. You can purchase any of the workshops you like but I decided to go for warehouse space and a tool workshop so that I can use it to craft tools for when I am gathering to get Black Crystal Shards.

And that’s it! Craft the Grade 3 Reform Stones and collect the Black Crystal Shards ready for Valencia. It does take a lot of materials but it’s all worth it for that 100% success rate. Below I have attached a spreadsheet that I use as a check list to track all of the materials I have. You can keep your own copy by clicking “File” then “Make a copy…”. You can edit the Quantity and Current cells and everything else should be done automatically.
