Hello DGC AND CREW. I’m working on build a super soil and was wondering if someone could help me out with ratios? I’m horrible at math unless I’m practicing it all the time and that’s not happening. So I had to start my garden over because of bugs and I’m going a different route. I live in Colorado and for now my plant count is 12. I want to plant the 12 plants into the super soil for flowering so I’m just trying to cover my corners now so I have everything for the entire grow. So I’m doing 12 plant in 15 gallon pot. I need to know how to break it down to figure the ratio. Can I get some feedback if this is a good recipe and is there anything you would change about it? Here is the super soil recipe.

Master Mark, (AKA the Boogie Master) His soil is NO TILL and he doesn’t hardly ever have to change it, even though it’s in containers and not raised beds. He just yanks the harvested cannabis plants and replants in the same soil… So he starts with Ocean & Forest soil which is ubiquitous and available from any grow store and nursery industry.
Only additional nutrients coming from the top dressing and boogie tea, He is busting all records including those results he previously achieved using the liquid programs from every major hydro vendor, etc. Yes his wow brownies would be cup winners, too. That’s the other thing, besides breaking yield records he is busting out massive terpene levels. The flavors are through the roof. Unbelievable quality.

Super soil, tea and occasional top dress, that’s it! Honestly you only need packages like our “yield of dreams” when going for heavy bloom phase and also you really don’t HAVE to use any particular Boogie products. …just a good soil recipe, compost teas and some occasional top dressings (when the plants are truly hungry for extra goodies).
For early vegetative phases, use only mild soil mixes – start with a MILD seedling mix, then graduate every 10 days to 2 weeks into progressively stronger soil mixes and bigger pots: 2 inch cups up to 1 gallon pots – then before bloom go for a 5 to 10 gallon size container in a full strength super-soil recipe. (Excellent example being Master Mark’s formula). Use Happy Frog soil for babies, then graduate to slightly stronger mix of 25% Ocean+Forest, then 50% each, etc (vegetative / nursery phase). Very important to gradually increase the soil strength and get the plants somewhat root-bound before each successive transplant into progressively larger pots. (Mild starvation of younger plants and getting them root-bound will make them “pop” into each successive soil mix with a robust fury!). Along the way, cull the small percentage of “weaklings” as this will guarantee a solid canopy of super-plants by the time you are ready to flower.
Also freely spray the leaves with just diluted tea along with a soil drench (when doing weekly tea feedings). PureProtein, (a FABULOUS foliar FEAST!) is only necessary to apply every 2 weeks as the amino acids will continue to build plant tissue growth (absolutely zero risk of burn with the PP as the nitrogen is all in amino acid form -plants will absorb the aminos they need and the rest will biodegrade in your soil). In Veg: It should be possible to get by WITHOUT any extra fertilizers, (as the gradually-stronger soils, diluted teas and PureProtein foliar-feasts should easily furnish everything they need)…however if plants are growing aggressively and in between transplant stages / running out of food, then a single veg-specific top dressing powder may be applied, along with a half-strength tea.
Only use a supplementary top-dressing powder when the plants are properly hungry (which will be indicated by a significant drop in ppm from the soil run-off). Activate the occasional top dress application with a STRONG tea -the ingredients (bat guano powder etc) will subsequently melt into your soil (digestion aided greatly by the strong tea).
The next time you water, (after a strong tea + top-dress), you will see a nice bump in the ppm run-off.

Do NOT apply any further top-dressing / full strength tea combo until there is another significant DROP in the ppm’s run-off, (so, usually, this will only be necessary a couple of times in bloom phase). Approximate low-end range of ppms should be down to around the 1100 mark before adding fresh fertilizing values from a strong batch of Boogie tea and an accompanying top-dressing powder. The new infusion of ingredients into your soil should be around 900ppms. This can typically be obtained from applying a half to full-strength brew and also scratching-in approx 1 teaspoon of top-dressing powder per gallon of soil, (so, for example, 7 teaspoons of Rainbow Mix or guano powder in a 7 gallon pot, etc). Excellent “helper agents”, (to assist in both the digestion and delivery of food values to the plants), are both an activated bio-char and also bokashi: Simply scratch-in a little of each when applying the fertilizer dressings, (also referred to as “tickling” your top-soil).
We call all of the above the 9-11 rule!
However, it is NOT strictly necessary to abide by the 900 and 1100 number ranges, those are just EXAMPLES of what we feel represent healthy run-off numbers with a ppm meter. (Many folks will go for stronger poms in general). We do NOT think that anything above 2100 poms in total should ever come out of even the strongest soil mix, (and even then that would only be for full bloom cycle – vegetative mixes can be around half of those values).
Hope that all makes sense!….Use diluted compost teas along the way to maximize plants’ immunity and maintain healthy microbe populations. The whole idea is to keep a soil’s breakdown systems running full-tilt along the way. When you do everything right, the soil will pretty much maintain itself as a super system of biological activity. Even better, the full bloom mixed super-soil recipes can keep running for eternity, (with the above-outlined “tickling” of fresh goodies being scratched-in and especially with healthy worm populations, mulching, etc).
