For this recipe, I recommend using matcha green tea which is a more concentrated form of green tea and more effective.
Ingredients

Tips for Using Bentonite Clay Masks
- Use these recipes no more than three times a week as overdoing it might have the opposite effect on your skin.
- Mix in a small non-metallic bowl. Metal utensils render bentonite clay useless. This cosmetic mixing set is perfect for your DIY skin care needs.
- Your acne might get worse before it gets better so don’t be alarmed if this happens. Continue with the treatment. Your skin should settle within a few weeks.
- You can store leftover masks in a small glass jar like these ones but use them within 1 week. Fresh clay masks are always best.
Bentonite Clay Side Effects
Most people tolerate bentonite clay masks well. However, if your skin is too sensitive or the clay mask makes your face itch then make the consistency a bit thinner and leave it on for only 5 – 10 minutes.
Instead of rinsing with lukewarm water, you can hold your face over a bowl of hot water for a few minutes to steam off the mask then wipe it off with a damp towel.
Another method is to use the clay mask only once a week instead of a few times a week.
Additional tip – replace bentonite clay with white kaolin clay if you have especially sensitive skin. White kaolin clay is the mildest of all the clays.
Where to Buy Bentonite Clay?
Not all bentonite clay for sale is authentic. Some of them have been adulterated with unsafe ingredients or extracted improperly.
Below are my top 3 recommendations + 1 recommendation for white clay for sensitive skin. I have tried all these brands and they’re reliable:-
